The ministry website reported that the volume of clinker produced at domestic cement factories over the past 11 months amounted to 64,136,506 tons.

In the same period, 49,124,093 tons of cement were distributed domestically.

The report continued that production of cement in the month of Bahman (between January and February) stood at 4,792,225 tons and that of clinker at 2,851,118 tons.

Cement export in the said Iranian month amounted to 937,599 tons and clinker 650,234 tons.

It is expected that by the yearend, cement export would reach 18 million tons.

Iran is the fourth major producer of cement in the world and has the first position in the Middle East.
